The Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (TSBEP) is the state agency authorized by state law to regulate the practice of psychology in the state of Texas.

The authorizing statute for the Board is Occupations Code, Title 3, Chapter 501, the Psychologists’ Licensing Act. The Psychologists’ Licensing Act is both a title and a practice act.

The Board is authorized by the Act to establish rules to implement and enforce the Act.

The Board discontinued issuance of an annual paper Rulebook in 2011.  The Board now makes the Act and Rules available in an online version which is updated four times a year and which may be downloaded at no cost:
